Thoughts on the Biblical Timeline from Adam to Abraham

As i have been reading Through Genesis, i was super curious this round about the timeline Happening in the narrative. It is believed, based on the information given in Genesis that around 1,652 years had elapsed between Adam and Eve being kicked out of the garden and the flood.

If you analyze the chart above, you can see that Adam's death at the top over laps with Lamech, who was Noahs Father, as well as every other person mentioned here in this genealogy.

Now go to the other side of the Flood, Shem would have known Lamech and Methuselah. so that's two persons post flood who would have had eye witness accounts to Adam's life.  Both Shem and Noah would have spoken to each of these patriarchs, who would likely have shared Adams account of being created and his time in the Eden and why he was kicked out.

Now keep going down the line, Noah may have met Abraham, it's a debate but their lives may have overlapped as much as 35 years.

So in speculation here, i used to wrestle with oral tradition and the idea that the biblical narrative of creation was passed down through a much larger gap of generations, but upon investigation. it is very likely that the accounts of Adam were passed through only 4 people. Obviously everyone would likely have been passing on this story of creation, perhaps why it spread through the whole world post flood. if everyone came from Noah and his family then they would have taken the story of the flood with them.

now watch this.

Adam would have spent the better majority of 500 years with Enos.
Enos and Noah would have had 84 years to spend time together.
Shem would have known Lamech and Methuselah who would have known Adam with a few hundred years to spend.
post flood. Noah may have known Abraham by 35 years or he died right before he was born.
however Shem would have had known Abraham for 150 years.

now lets continue down to Joseph. . .

If you look at the timeline above, Shem would have known Joseph. now weather or not all these people stayed around each-other, well, we will keep reading the bible and see who interacts with who.

The point of this rant tho. was that through Oral tradition, it's very possible that the creation story only passed through 4 people to get to Abraham. and possibly Shem - Jacob, who would have told Joseph, who then would have kept that tradition and narrative alive while living in Egypt, even possibly using his wealth there to have it written down, which then would have gone on exodus with the Hebrew nation, which then Moses added it to the things he wrote down thus giving you the first 5 books of the Torah.
